De Yong, Joe (Joseph Franklin de Yong), 1894-1975

The Channing Peake Letters to Joe De Yong contains letters from artist Channing Peake, sent primarily during his travels through Mexico from 1934 to 1935. Additionally, the collection contains photographs, sketches, and other materials that most likely accompanied the letters.

This small collection contains materials related to Ada De Yong's pool hall in Choteau, Montana. Ada De Yong was the father of Western artist Joe De Yong.

The Joe De Yong Papers reflect the art and friendships of an artist, cowboy, and westerner of the 20th century. The Papers are comprised of biographical information, correspondence, manuscripts, sketches, notes from conversations, and photographs. Due to his long careers in western art and film, De Yong had many well-known friends who are reflected in his Papers: Charles M. Russell, Will James, Tom Mix, Maynard Dixon, Joe Beeler, and Will Rogers.

The Rancheros Visitadores Collection contains materials related to the riding group Rancheros Visitadores and its trail rides, including schedules, organization publications, invitations, and member correspondence.
