The Ira L. Reeves Papers is the papers and photographs of Ira, both personal and related to his military career. The collection includes photographs, newspaper clippings, a few letters, currency from countries Ira visited, booklets, military papers, and personal documents such as business cards and financial documents. Of interest are family photographs portraying clothing styles of the late 19th and early 20th century and military orders. There are also booklets and photographs pertaining to Oklahoma history in the early 20th century. In the oversized flat files (drawer 113) there are military maps related to WW1.

Biographical / Historical

Ira L. Reeves lived from 1872-1939. He served in the army during the late 19th century and early 20th century. Reeves wrote military themed books as well as military themed articles that were published in different newspapers.
