Contains 5 postcards published by Stillwater Engraving Service in 1955 from the Postcards from the Cunningham Collection series. Two are titled “Early Days of Oklahoma,” two titled “Chief Iron Tail,” and one titled “Pistol Pete.” The one 8×10 black-and-white photograph circa 1893 (copy print, n.d.) features two men and one boy with two horses and a wagon loaded with farm produce. Also includes 8 11×14 black-and-white photographs circa 1889-1893 (copy prints, n.d.).

Biographical / Historical

Jane Cunningham Hoot is the daughter of Robert Cunningham, photograph collector and photographer from Stillwater, Oklahoma. He chronicled the development of Oklahoma through his historical acquisitions and personal photographs. Related to this collection, the Robert E. Cunningham Oklahoma History Collection records Oklahoma’s development from 1883 through the 21st century. The collection contains an extensive assemblage of negatives, photographs, documents and other archival materials.
